You can put Optins everywhere on your Website.
On all pages, on all blog posts.
Like Lead Magnets. Like Newsletter.
But, if you are not a designer, you already know how ugly those Optin Forms may turn out to be.
Before I discovered Optinskin (a plugin for designing Optins), designing those Email Subscription forms was a total Nightmare.
So, I bought that plugin. I read about its features and helpfulness in some reviews from authoritative Online Marketers.
First, I bought the Single Website version and it cost me $67.
But, because I have a small Digital Agency and my customers also needed this plugin , I added $30 plus and now I have the version for Unlimited sites.
It’s one time fee. You pay once and you can use it and re-use it whenever you want and wherever you may need.
I have been using OptinSkin for 2 years now, and I am satisfied with its futures, although I didn’t have enough time to play with all its features.
Not until I had to set it up for my last customer.
It had to pass 2 years for me to realize the real power of OptinSkin.
You can design really good looking Optins with this Plugin. Even if you are not designer.
Let’s talk about Optins Design
If you struggle with Design like me, you will need something that looks good right out of the box.
Optin Skin comes together with 18 different clean and professional designs, opt-in skins templates, that you can use for your Email Capturing Forms.
But, you can still customize them to serve your purpose or match your blog design.
They are VERY easy to style with NO programming skills required.
You get the ability to customize designs on the fly (with really powerful editor) and change the colors, text, and add graphics too.
You can actually play with lot of settings yourself.
But be careful, you can spend all day with the OptinSkin Editor.
It’s fun to change the Forms, because you see changes on the fly, like I said.
If you’re a pro, you can actually code your own opt-in forms within OptinSkin and use all of the features.
Supports majority of well-known Email Marketing Services
This is definitely one of the best Optin Skin’s features.
It supports majority of well-known email marketing services:
Optin Skin integrates easily with:
Full integration is achieved with just a couple of clicks
If you are using a service that isn’t on the list, you can still use the plugin, just check “Other” and set your code up.
You also have the option to specify a redirect URL which is a page people will land on after opting in.
Placeing your Email Optin Forms on a WordPress website
This is probably what made the plugin so popular – easy adding to different spots on your blog.
With the simple click of a button, you can have your form show up:
- At top or the bottom of your post
- Below the first paragraph
- Float it to the right of your second paragraph
- Put it in the sidebar or any custom location
You can add it either via widget or shortcode.
You can also make it pop up after your visitor has scrolled down a certain amount of pixels.
Fade In Effect
You can add an option to have your form fade in after x number of seconds.
It definitely draws attention and gets more subscribers and clicks.
One of the cool features I like is the ability to have an opt-in form fade into view as the reader scrolled past it.
What this does is catches the reader’s eye and thus draws more attention to the opt-in form. Result = higher opt-in rate.
Stick to the Top Effect – Deprecated
When a visitor scrolls down your page, the form will scroll with them. Always remaining in view.
The form will always be in front of them, so they can sign up for your list at any point of reading your content.
Split Testing – A/B testing and Stats
For those analytical minds out there – this is the feature for you!
You can put all the forms you want on your blog, but if they are not converting into subscribers, you might as well remove them all, as they are just taking valuable space.
Split testing will allow you to stay on top of your form conversions.
So if you want to test two different colors for example, you can turn the split testing on for those two forms (assign them to the same position on your blog). They will appear one at a time per pageview. Ditch the one that doesn’t work!
It allows you, with relative ease, to set up split testing of two different designs, and presents you with a table of each design’s respective conversion rate.
Not only does the plugin keep track of the number of impressions, subscribers and conversion rates for each form over time, you can split test two forms against each other in the same location. You’ll be able to tell which design converts better, and optimize your numbers over time.
Every form you use on your blog will provide stats on how many sign ups you have per day. Pretty useful, especially if you are tracking conversions from guest posting or other marketing campaign to your list.
Every single Skin you create has its own page for detailed analytics data, and the advanced impressions tracking will only increment statistics when a visitor sees your form, keeping your split-tests highly accurate.
Everyone who one has installed WordPress plugin can install OptinSkin, too.
But, first you have to purchase it form the official website.
After purchasing and logging into Members Area, you can download the plugin and upload it to WrodPress.
After installing you’ll need to type the License Key and Activate your new OptinSkin plugin.
After successful installation and Activation the party may begin.
First look around the menu items and investigate Settings, just to become familiar with OptinSkin interface.
Creating New Email Optin Form with OptinSkin
In the slider below you can see the transformation from one of the Built-in Designs and to totally new custom Design in few steps.
Enter the name for the new form and insert it into your Website.
This new design is easy to put in the Widget Section on your Website or Blog or anywhere on your Website with the help of a Shortcode.
You can see on picture above that you can Split Test two forms with just one click.
What’s new with version 3.5 of OptinSkin
So, I am an old OptinSkin user and I have for downloading every upgrade to major or minor version in my Members Area.
These are the two new things in version 3.5:
You can put announcements or some Call to Action on top of Pages or Blog Posts.
It’s eye catching and you can gain good conversion from that OptinBar.
You can set some of your Optin Forms and Designs to show like Pop Up Boxes after some delay of seconds.
I think that this option is the replacement for Stay on Top option that is depricated in version 3.5 of OptinSkin.
I set 30 sec, and my Email Capturing Form with free Bonus Ebook is shown to visitors thatare actually reading the article.
30 sec. is a good time to show a Lead Magnet form to your visitors.
This is Blog Post that includes affiliate links.
But, I don’t write this blog post only for affiliate. I am using this plugin for 2 years now and I have experienced the real OptinSkin Power.
It’s easy to use, it’s easy to integrate.
And the forms are very beautiful for non designers.
And it’s one time payment. If you purchase for Unlimited Sites for $97, you can setup for unlimited domains.
The price is the cheapest on the market.
If you want a lot of Email Subscribers and good looking Opins than you need to buy OptinSkin now!
